Oxon Hill Farm

Not too far from DC is a sweet little farm, owned and operated by the National Park Service. Oxon Hill Farm began as a plantation home during the War of 1812, became a hospital farm, and evolved into a park and farm for the public. We spent a little time there on Sunday -- MJ had a lot of fun visiting with "Old MacDonald's" farm animals.

She marched right up to those big ol' cows.

She reached out to pet one before we could stop her and the cow licked her leg in response. MJ was thrilled and a little grossed out at the same time. Heh.

Goats & sheep, living together put MJ in a contemplative mood. Well, for a minute anyway.

Then it was time for a ride on daddy's shoulders.

Time to go home. :-)
