We spent Election Day at Roselawn Lutheran Church in northern Cincinnati as part of the Election Protection team of volunteers. Turnout was heavy, about 80% apparently, with significant numbers of first-time voters. We helped some of those folks. They seemed genuinely excited, willing to wait in 2-hour lines if necessary. I think we all felt that we were part of something.
I hope that they stick with it.
